Paloma Nicole Llorens Monteserin, LMT
She/They
Oregon Licecnse #26583
Paloma Nicole is a licensed massage therapist and trauma-informed yoga instructor, with a background in nonprofit management, metropolitan development, and administration. She has been our Front Desk Coordinator since 2022 and during this time has been training diligently in John Barnes myofascial release and honing her skills through mentorship and ongoing practice.
Before moving to the Pacific Northwest, she worked as a researcher and coalition coordinator in Chicago’s southwest side with a focus on community health and alternative food systems initiatives. After completing her first yoga teacher training in 2016, she decided to return home to spend time with family in Puerto Rico while teaching Adaptive/Chair Yoga at the VA Hospital in San Juan. This time spent reconnecting with her roots and her homeland allowed her to explore a new direction for her life, one that honored her innate gifts and deep felt desire to contribute to both individual and collective healing in a more tangible way. After moving to Portland in 2017, she signed up for massage school while continuing to teach hatha and restorative yoga classes around town.
Now an Oregon School of Massage graduate (2021), Paloma Nicole continues to work part-time as a CA/LMT in a chiropractic clinic and is very excited to start seeing patients here at Portland Myofascial Release as well. She looks forward to continuing to build relationships of care and trust with patients, both at the front desk and in treatment. Myofascial release has had an enormous impact in her own recovery from injury and path towards deeper healing. It is her utter joy to be sharing this incredible resource and to get to work alongside such an amazing team.
Outside of work, she enjoys community singing, live music, dancing, hula hooping and flow arts, exploring the outdoors, reading poetry, and snuggling her two fur-babies — Waoli and Nanichi.
